One. Two. Three. Three shots rang out in the shooting range. The sound was not unusual the strange part was that, paired with the noise of victoriously aimed shots was the lightest pattering of raindrops, and paired with the smell of gunpowder was the scent of fresh rain.
Each shot had met its mark nicely enough, but Rory wasn't satisfied. Glaring in disgust at wooden target she had, by her standards, barely grazed, she again lifted her pistol to shoulder-level, and took a moment's sighting before pulling the trigger tightly once, a second time, a third. Target practice had ended, and Rory had done exceptionally well. Her fellows had noted that her aim was better today than other days, and expressed this to her via astounded praise. She dismissed their kind words with a curt, "I know," and thus prevented any further attempts at a conversation with her.
When they chose to disperse, Rory allowed the others their leave, stating that she would take care of the cleaning up herself. The moment that all were out of sight, however, her persona seemed to change. With uncharacteristically unsteady hands and a somehow fearful glimmer in her pale mocha eyes, she carted the wounded but not inedible mel
Gino, the ever-cheerful blonde of the Knights of the Round, was depressed. Despite everything that had transpired between himself and the Japanese boy;he missed Suzaku terribly. He missed his tousled brown hair that was so soft to the touch, his green eyes that were so warm to behold, his lips that were always so sweet to the taste, his voice ever so kind to the ear, and his flesh so delectable to the scent.
Gino had grown selfish with Suzaku's spoiling of him; without his beloved male companion there was only Anya to put up with his antics. Though she was pleasant to be around, and very cozy to hold -- she was no replacement for their mutua

Sitting on the emerald green sofa after hitting one of its unnecessary tassels with the slightest hint of contempt, Kohku positioned himself in a way that was oh-so-comfortable for his slim body before he turned his attention to the small girl that was bouncing around excitedly before him. She certainly was a sight to behold, with her antennae flopping carelessly on her head whilst she chattered on.
And on. And on. Kiko never seemed to run out of things to say, and always seemed to be so very passionate about the topic of conversation that she chose. In this case, it was humans, and included winded explanations of why Kohku was so lucky to

It had been at least a month since Deporte had recollected all his paperwork and was free to leave Korea. However, he hadn't. In the two months total that he had spent with Funami (and, by unwelcome extension, Yogish) he had grown very fond of her, and was not eager to leave. And so, whenever the question came up from Yogish asking when Deporte's paperwork would come in, the Frenchman would simply dismiss Yogish's question as spawning from jealousy, and he would proceed to himself put his arms around their mutual female and cuddle her close to which she would blush and laugh, and Yogish would shout and protest.
In truth, Deporte had

Funami turned around, and was about to make a request of the French man when she realized that he was staring at her, and apparently had been for quite some time. The idea was eerie, and made Funami fear that she had made the wrong decision by allowing the stranger to take up residence in her abode.
Deporte, however, quickly smiled at her in a polite fashion and inclined his head lightly to the side. "Is there something that you wanted from me?"
Stuttering slightly, Funami nodded and said, "Y-Yeah would you mind staying in your room to unpack, and could you please do it quietly? I have a guest coming, and I'd rather he didn't know t

"I completely and utterly refuse." Funami Kagaru rarely showed such a harsh side of her personality cold, blunt, and unfriendly. To most who knew her, she would certainly appear to be an entirely different person from the chatty, upbeat, and almost puppy-esque girl that she was around those that she called her friends.
"What do you mean, you refuse? It's entirely your fault, therefore, you ought to take the proper responsibility for it," Deporte Jason insisted, folding his arms tight across his chest and glaring down at the curly-haired brunette who had so very clumsily bumped into him and caused him to drop his paperwork whi

Kotori00 Chap. 4-Epilogue
Only one person had noticed the conversation that Kotori and Zennosuke had held before his gash was healed, and even then she didn't learn much that she didn't already knew.
The way her young neighbor Zennosuke had spoken of Kotori was the same way he spoke of Kotoko, and she could only imagine that he looked at both the same way. Obviously he adored both the same way, and therefore, the only logical interpretation of this was that both Kotos were the same.
As she watched the two lovers converse early into the morning, she knew that both were perfect for one another.

After a short time, Zennosuke had found work able bodied men such as himself were rarely on an occupational hunt, despite being eternally in demand. And so, his and Kotori's days remained as they were. He spent long, deadly hours as a guard for a wealthy landowner, and Kotori continued her progress towards becoming a successful Kotoko.
Finally, the day came when Kotori constructed a well-made garment, and later still an edible and delectable meal. The day was truly miraculous, and she couldn't have been more eager to see her "husband" return and gauge his reaction to her triumph over the domestic fiends.
The hour never came
With a thoroughly puzzled expression upon her delicately featured face, Kotori cautiously pulled her shining silver needle through the thick cotton fabric she had been given to fashion into a garment. Slowly, slowly, ever so slowly did she pull the needle through until finally she pulled too hard, and found herself staring at a gradually pooling droplet of crimson blood on the creamy excellence that was her skin.
"Curses " she muttered under her breath as she brought her finger to her mouth for what seemed to be the hundredth time that day alone. Kotori had always been under the impression that sewing was a rather easy task, bu
